Timothy Drake is Robin, filling the gap left by the death of Jason Todd, who died in Batman #428. Although Timothy has served since as Batman’s sidekick, he gets his wings as a legitimate crime-fighter in his own right in this five-part series.
Written by Chuck Dixon, the Robin limited series pits the Boy Wonder against Sir Edmund Dorrance, a high-class heroin dealer who’s moving on to grander designs. Sir Edmund has acquired a sample of plague toxin left over from Hitler’s wartime laboratories. He plans to release this toxin into the air of Gotham city, and come back later to cash in on the destruction. Now, without Batman to help him, Robin must save Gotham City.
