VetBizCorp is accepting resumes for an experienced Maintenance Foreman and Crew Leaders in the Grounds Maintenance field for performing services within Fort Hood Army Base.
We're looking for enthusiastic and motivated managers that are willing to work in a team environment. Applicants must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record, be able to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time and have a working telephone number. Work days are usually, at minimum, 10-hour days. Applicants must be able to work in the elements of hot sun, rain and cold weather. Applicants must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, operate hand held power equipment like string trimmers, edgers, blowers, rakes, shovels, etc. Zero-turn mower operating experience a plus. Applicants must have a clean criminal history with no instances of theft, felonies, or violent offenses. For work aboard government facilities, a condition of employment is being able to pass a security background check to obtain a government access pass.
Desired documented or confirmed qualifications:
Minimum 5 years supervisor experience managing 15 or more employees.
Minimum 5 years managing mowing operations for facilities larger then 100 acres.
Minimum 5 years hands-on and supervisory experience in professional grounds maintenance, landscaping, pest management.
Federal contract management experience a plus, but not required.
State of Texas pesticide applicators license or ability to obtain licensing.
Industry certifications such as Landscape Technician, Horticultural Technician, Lawn Care Technician a plus.
Clean criminal (ability to obtain military base pass) and driving record.
General proficiency and ability to learn web-based software.
Demonstrated and confirmed ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
Ability to communicate and lead of team of employees to accomplish short term and long term goals.
