My hens are on Spring overproduction and I can offer hatching eggs for $2 each or $20/dozen.
My rooster is a very gentle, homozygous blue ameraucana. Hens are blue laying Easter Eggers, Wellsummer, australorp, and New Hampshire red. If you want blue egg layers only, I can do that. The Wellsummer, australorp, and New Hampshire red all lay brown eggs and will produce offspring that lay green eggs (range from pale sea foam to olive) when crossed with my roo. All of these breeds are well suited for family flocks and Texas weather.
Last year, I had 100% hatch rate and survival. The 2 chicks I kept grew up to lay green eggs. Example eggs are the second and third row from right on the picture with the towel. Also, a friend adopted 5 — now producing and shown in the picture of eggs in a carton.
Let me know if you’re looking for a blue, green, or combination flock of your own and I’ll start collecting. Meetup at the Temple Petco parking lot. (Text please)
(Your carton will contain no green eggs, as those are daughter’s eggs.)
