Temple Temps looking for a Mechanical Desigh Engineer and a Shipping Clerk with experience. Please read the following job description. Job Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer designs new products, identifies improvements to existing
products, and performs continuous improvements to identify and capture manufacturing
throughput improvements. The successful candidate must have knowledge in the design and
implementation of industrial electromechanical equipment which may also include hydraulic
and pneumatic components or subassemblies. Works with all team members of THE COMPANY to ensure
all constraints are considered for optimal design of equipment and manufacturing processes.
Oversees the work of other engineers, drafters and craftsmen as assigned. Requires an ABET
accredited bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Able to plan and complete a varied,
demanding, and time-constrained workload. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is
expected. Limited travel will be required.
Education and Experience
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited school in Mechanical Engineering.
Essential Functions
1. Ensures all safety and governmental requirements are met in the design of equipment.
2. Consults with customers as well as the COMPANY Sales, Service, Manufacturing, and
Maintenance departments to determine optimal equipment and manufacturing process
designs for THE COMPANY to satisfy market needs.
3. Leads and/or assists with R & D and prototype development.
4. Provides technical support for manufacturing, service, installation, and sales on an as
needed basis.
5. Establish and coordinate the equipment maintenance and safety procedures, service
schedule and recommended spare parts list.
6. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make
recommendations as required to eliminate future failures.
7. Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance
with engineering design and performance specifications.
8. Study industrial processes to determine where and how application of equipment can
be made.
9. Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects.
10. Any other duties as assigned.
Work conditions
1. Hours per day – Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m.-4:30 and Friday 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., and
as required for job completion.
2. Occasional travel required but typically less than 20% annually.

The Shipping Clerk verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares
items for shipment. Applicant should be computer literate and able to use email,
excel, Dymo Label, UPS and Syteline software. On the job training is provided as
well as company certification to operate fork trucks and order pickers. The
Shipping Clerk coordinates with Inventory Control to ensure cycle counts are
completed and inventory levels are maintained per production need.
1. Attendance, present at scheduled shift to perform essential functions.
2. Utilizes Syteline ERP Software to track inventory and other products as required.
3. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of
outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, orders, or other records.
4. Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stamps, stencils, glues identifying
information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
5. Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
6. Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
7. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
8. Operates tier lift truck, order picker, scissor lift, or uses hand truck to move,
convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work
9. Maintain working relationship with all levels within company.
10. May be required to use a computer-generated PICK list to ensure production efforts
are met.
11. Cross train with Receiving and Order Picking.
12. Other work as assigned.
1. Hours per day - 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, with opportunities
for overtime.
2. Work Breaks - 2 15-minute breaks daily, 1 morning and 1 afternoon. 30-minute
lunch break.
